AIGU (Italian Youth Association for UNESCO) presents “MagnifiSCENT: The Perfumes of the Porticoes of Bologna”, an event celebrating the Porticoes of Bologna as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The program includes at 4 pm the opening greetings by Gianluca Buonocore, President of AIGU and Anna Lisa Boni, Deputy Mayor for EU/Recovery funds, Climate mission 2030: neutrality and transition, International relations, Promotion of Bologna twin towers, Unesco porticoes.
An olfactory and musical journey, guided by the perfumery historian Erman Picco, will explore historical eras and discover the deep connection of Bologna and its porticoes with the perfumery tradition.
Musical interludes are planned by Daniele Faziani, Professor at the “G.B.Martini” Conservatory.
MANE Symphony of Flavors and Perfumes will then be presented thanks to the cooperation with MANE. This is a completely new gourmand project, a synesthesia between smell and taste. It will also be an opportunity to discover how perfumer Cristiano Canali and chef Lino Rossi have reinterpreted the traditional Bolognese Rice Cake.
The event will end with the UNESCO Talk: Preserving Heritage, Inspiring the Future,
dedicated to the conservation and enhancement of cultural heritage and the transmission of memories, including olfactory ones, as a legacy for future generations, fundamental values of AIGU.

AIGU, ITALIAN YOUTH ASSOCIATION FOR UNESCO was founded in 2015 as the Youth Committee of the Italian National Commission for UNESCO (CNIU) with the purpose of promoting activities and events in the field of education, science, culture and communication, to spread values and assert priorities through the active participation of young generations and civil society in initiatives of national relevance.
In 2018, the Association, under the auspices of CNIU, was officially recognized by UNESCO as a Member of the Associations and Clubs for UNESCO.
The Italian Youth Association for UNESCO is made up of about 300 young people between 20 and 35 years old, including students, researchers, artists, professionals, managers and entrepreneurs.
