Born from research promoted by the Department of Legal Studies of the University of Bologna, the book analyzes the contribution of international law to the formation of the notion of World Heritage, in particular in the light of the UNESCO system. The book is also enriched by the presentation of the treasures of the cities that host the Alma Mater's Faculty of Law: the mosaics of Ravenna and the Porticoes of Bologna.
