The Municipality of Bologna supports the property owners involved in taking care of their properties, particularly as regards the maintenance and restoration of the paving, cleaning of the walls to wash off graffiti and other types of vandalism and the removal of incongruous objects.
Property owners who plan to carry out maintenance work on the portico are granted free public land occupation permit for 60 days at the most.
Property owners who are members of associations that have signed special memorandums of understanding with the municipality are granted both the free use of public property for up to 60 days and are exempted from paying the service fee for authorised advertising systems on the work site fencing.
