Federica Iacobelli is the author of a small book illustrated by Teresa Sdralevich that tells the story of a little snail, born in the moss of the city walls, who decides to take a long journey to reach, after years and years of walking, the top of Colle della Guardia. As always, the journey does not only coincide with the destination but also with the entire progress and all sorts of adventures will happen to the fragile protagonist.
The short note about this fable for children and adults, published by Minerva in 2019, is posted today also to recall a memorable restoration of the portico of San Luca that took place 70 years ago, in 1954, to celebrate the institution of the public holiday of the Immaculate Conception (which in 2024 falls on a Sunday!). On that occasion, in fact, a large section of the portico and some chapels of the Rosary were restored.
