On Saturday 9 November 2024, in the presence of the Mayor, the 4 plaques designed for the "Treno della Barca" were unveiled.
All the plaques display in both Italian and English the motivation for the inscription of the Porticoes of Bologna on the World Heritage List. A QR code redirects to this official website which also hosts specific contents for deaf people, as indicated by the appropriate symbol. A short message in Braille has also been inserted, which informs blind or visually impaired people that they are near a UNESCO property. They too, by connecting via QR code to the website, will find contents available to the most common facilitated reading systems. In order to improve accessibility for people in wheelchairs, the plaques were installed at an adequate distance from the ground.
