Palazzo Merendoni
Built on a pre-existing structure, the current palace was completed around 1774 by the architect Raimondo Compagnini. The portico features columns with Tuscan pilasters and the entire façade reflects a return to the 16th-century style typical of that historical-artistic moment in time. The interior, unfortunately not open to visitors, features a typical Bolognese staircase with a recess illuminated by windows concealed in the deep overhanging cornices enhanced by statues by Domenico Pio and a painting, at the top of the compartment, by Gaetano Gandolfi.
