In 1923, the architect Alberto Legnani designed the Libreria Internazionale Bemporad, the Bologna location of the historic Florentine publishing company R.Bemporad & figlio. After becoming Libreria Internazionale Rizzoli, it made a name for itself as one of the city’s largest bookshops until it slowly declined in the 1990s. Today, the premises host several businesses and still have the original wooden furnishings.
