“Another monument of the same sort of what was called piety, is the Certosa, or Charter-House, without the gate of San Felice, but its immense size is its principal beauty, and the paintings which are preserved in its church, are not worth the trouble of going so far to see, unless for a walk in fine weather”.

[Un altro monumento della medesima devozione è la Certosa, fuori porta San Felice, la cui attrattiva consiste essenzialmente nelle dimensioni spropositate.
