3ENCULT - Efficient Energy for EU Cultural Heritage
This is a project that brings together universities, research institutions, companies and other private and public entities to develop and test innovative solutions able to improve the energy efficiency of historic buildings in urban areas. The project focuses on buildings that play a public or social role. The general objective is to improve the management of energy flows in this type of buildings through active and passive efficient, affordable and sustainable, adequately monitored and controlled solutions, by studying the social and environmental impacts in the urban context of reference and considering the historical and actual role of the selected buildings. The Municipality of Bologna will provide the Palazzo D’Accursio, the City Hall building, as a case study.
