Second Let'sGOv Study Visit in Genoa

On October 29 and 30, 2024, Genoa hosted the second study visit of the Let'sGOv project, organized within the framework of the twinning program between the cities of Genoa and Issy-les-Moulineaux (NetZeroCities Twinning Learning Program).

Representatives from the municipalities of Bologna and Florence met with the team from the Energy Policies Department of the Municipality of Genoa, along with delegates from Issy-les-Moulineaux. During the meeting, the twinned cities shared the progress made in their energy transitions, drawing inspiration from the Let'sGOv pilot project and presenting their respective replication plans.

Genoa highlighted key themes such as self-consumption configurations for sharing renewable energy and presented innovative examples of energy and strategic planning, including the PAESC and Genoa 2050 Strategy. The visit also included a tour of the Levante Waterfront construction site, designed by the Renzo Piano studio, to observe integrated solutions for energy saving and renewable energy production up close.

Elena Ricci, representing the NetZeroCities network, also participated in the visit.
