Dickinson College celebrating its 50 years in Bologna

City Hall of Bologna is hosting one of the events that celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Dickinson College in Bologna. The event will take place on Wednesday,  April 13, starting at 5 p.m. with the lecture "Migration and Security in Europe" by Soren Jessen-Petersen, prior service as Special Assistant to UN Secretary General for Kosovo, Assistant to UN High Commissioner for Refugees, and Chair of the EU Stability Pact’s Migration, Asylum, refugees Regional Initiative. After the conference, the annual Biagi Scholarship will be awarded to the current semester’s outstanding Bologna student.
The lecture and the Award are in memory of Marco Biagi — professor, attorney, and friend of Dickinson — who was assassinated in 2002 by Red Brigade terrorists.
The event is promoted by Dickinson College, in cooperation with University of Bologna and Municipality of Bologna.
