On Saturday 12th September, an exhibition of bas-reliefs in painted terracotta by the artist Ivan Dimitrov, dedicated to the Porticoes of Bologna, will open to the public from 4 to 6 pm. It will display a collection of about 60 works by the Bulgarian artist, who has been living in Bologna for decades. The subjects of the works are perspectives and glimpses of porticoes and evocative details of the city, accompanied by captions with the testimonies of travellers who have admired the beauty of the porticoes over the centuries. The event is one of the projects included in the Management Plan in support of the nomination of the Porticoes of Bologna to the World Heritage List.
The exhibition is free. It can be visited until 27th September at the Sala d’Ercole in Palazzo d’Accursio, with the following opening hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday 10.00-18.30; Friday 2.30pm-6.30pm, closed on Mondays.
